As a dedicated member of the Huron Valley School Board for the past 4 years, Laura has been committed to fostering a supportive and innovative educational environment for our students, educators, and community. Her tenure on the board has been marked by record investments in student achievement and our school buildings, a community-driven strategic plan, balanced budgets, and sound fiscal management. She is running for reelection to continue building on this progress and addressing the evolving needs of our educational community.

- Laura is proud to serve as the Chief Operating Officer of Oakland THRIVE, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting small business owners in Oakland County, Michigan.
- With a 25-year career based in the nonprofit sector, Laura has developed as a servant leader in organizations that include Student Leadership Services, the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Cranbrook Institue of Science, the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust, and Oakland County.
